Our story

Independent reviews.
Zero nonsense.

We built Walking-pad.com because we were tired of affiliate sites that recommend products they've never touched. Every review here is based on real testing and honest opinion.

Why we built this site

In 2023, after spending weeks trying to research walking pads online, we kept running into the same problem: every "best walking pad" article was just a recycled Amazon description. Nobody was actually comparing the noise levels, testing the motors long-term, or being honest about which budget models were worth the money and which would break in three months.

So we built Walking-pad.com to be the site we wished existed. We buy the products (or borrow them from colleagues), use them for weeks, then write about them honestly. When we earn a commission from Amazon, it goes back into buying more products to test.

Our values

🔍

Honest reviews

We write about what we actually found — good and bad. No product is perfect and we say so.

💰

Transparent earnings

We earn commissions through Amazon. We disclose this clearly on every page. It never influences our ratings.

🔄

Kept up to date

We update guides monthly. If a model gets discontinued or a better one launches, we reflect that.

🚫

No paid placements

Brands cannot pay to appear in our guides. Our rankings are based entirely on performance.

How we review walking pads

1

We research the market

We track new releases, monitor Amazon reviews, and follow walking pad communities to know which models are worth testing.

2

We test them in real use

We use each model for at least two weeks in real working conditions — at a desk, on video calls, for 2–6 hours a day.

3

We measure what matters

We use a sound level meter to measure noise at 1, 2, and 3 mph. We check motor temperature after extended use. We verify belt dimensions and weight limits against manufacturer claims.

4

We write honestly

Our reviews include real cons — not just positives. If a motor overheats, the belt is too narrow, or the app is broken, we say so clearly.

5

We update over time

We revisit products after 3–6 months of use to update our reviews with long-term reliability notes.

🚶
The Walking-pad.com Team
Editors & Reviewers

We're a small team of remote workers, fitness enthusiasts, and product researchers who genuinely use walking pads every day. Between us, we've tested over 20 models since 2022. We're based in Europe and North America, which also lets us compare international availability and pricing.

Affiliate disclosure

Walking-pad.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

When you click a product link and make a purchase on Amazon, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This is how we fund the site, buy products to test, and keep our guides free.

Our editorial decisions are never influenced by affiliate relationships. We recommend products we believe are genuinely good. We also highlight budget options and alternatives that earn us lower commissions when they're the better choice for the reader.
